Viva la Viva Tech !
If you were at the Viva Technology (Viva Tech) trade show in May, you must have seen us at the Airbus stand. Indeed, for the first time since its creation, SkyReal had the chance to participate in this extraordinary international event that celebrates innovation.
Viva Tech (for the aficionados), which is an international rendezvous for startups, was more important than ever this year with over 100,000 attendees from 125 countries. The event took place in Paris and gathered 9,000 startups and CEOs from most of the biggest high-technology firms in the world.
Viva Tech 2018 : virtual reality was right in the spotlight
At the “Parc des Expositions”, Porte de Versailles, Paris, we discovered hundreds of stands presenting innovations that will change our everyday life in the future. Among other things, we saw a lot of robots, a flying car, and the “SeaBubbles”, the water taxi of a near future since it is expected to be launched very soon in Paris. But this year, it was virtual reality technology that was in the spotlight. Virtual reality headsets were everywhere, and so was ours.
What you missed during Viva Tech : virtual reality experience applied to manufacturing and some collaborative tests sessions
AIRBUS chose us to be part of it’s innovative startup ecosystem on Viva Tech, so we were able to have a stand to present SkyReal to both the professionals and the general public on Saturday. It was for us the opportunity to present the result of our work : an experience of virtual reality applied to manufacturing that enables people to collaborate within the same virtual world.
For the public, it was an opportunity to wear a helmet to virtually replace the landing gear of an Airbus A320. It was an original and revealing experience for our visitors, whether they were CEOs, virtual reality specialists, students, kids or even explorers.

Thanks to the support of Airbus before and during Viva Technology, we were able to expose our technology and expertise. Thanks Airbus!
This trade show also enabled us to measure the nascent impact of virtual reality in many and diverse fields and thus give us the desire to keep extending our boundaries by making the craziest ideas possible.
